Have you had your Joy Juice
today? Humbly, yet courageously, seek
what you can do to share the joy of the Lord.
In 1 Corinthians 11:1 Paul writes:
“Be imitators of me, as I am of Christ.” In essence, He is saying that we all
need to strive to be like Jesus. We
can’t ever reach His level of perfection, of course, but we can strive to walk
in His ways and pray daily to become more and more like Him.
St. Patrick is remembered as one who
went down in history as being an “imitator of Christ”. He was committed to
carrying out Jesus’ command in Matthew 28:19-20.
St. Patrick personified humility and courage. Along with those solid qualities went great tenacity and diligence! History tells us that his determination to accept suffering and success with equal indifference guided his life; and he was truly God’s instrument for winning most of Ireland to Christ. What distinguishes Patrick from many others was the durability of his efforts. He never gave up.
May we, also, be imitators of Christ and
“go ye therefore”…sharing the joy of the Lord with all diligence!
