Have you had your Joy Juice today? Hope there is an abundance of joy in your
heart!
There’s a
popular tv commercial that asks, “What’s in your wallet?” Let’s change it up a bit and ask, “What’s in
your heart?” Sometimes we open our
wallets and find cash…or lack thereof! We may find a credit card, our driver’s
license or personal id, pictures of loved ones…and maybe even some old receipts
or keepsakes. Some of those things have
value and some may end up being trash. Isn’t it the same for our heart?
Our heart’s
credit card has been “paid in full” by Jesus if we have asked Him to take up
residence in our heart. Consider the “cash”
as gifts of joy that can be ours at any time, just by spending our time wisely
with the Lord. A driver’s license or
personal identification may be symbolic of our uniqueness in Christ. We are fearfully and wonderfully made…each
of us is different, yet special to God, our Creator.
Our heart
holds pictures of our past and lots of valuable treasures, yet at times we may
find “trash” and “clutter” that needs throwing away. Ephesians 4:31 is a great reminder of that!
“Get
rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every
form of malice.”
Let’s get
rid of the clutter and make room for more joy.
What’s in YOUR heart? (Hope it's "JOY IN JESUS!")
