Have you had your Joy Juice today? Practice drinking in the abundant joy of
Jesus….in all circumstances.
It’s not
always easy to see joy in every situation.
In times of heartbreak or loss, truly we do not “feel” joyful. I don’t think that’s what Paul meant in
Philippians when he told us to “rejoice always”. God knows our hearts; and He knows when we
are emotionally crushed and devastated.
He cares! He is our Comforter in those times. But you see, the truth of His presence, the
impact of His comfort, the faithfulness of His new mercies….those are reasons
we can find joy…always.
Christians have access to the greatest
source of joy in all the earth—we have Christ as our portion. We are His
children and receive His inheritance. Even when we are sorrowful, we can rejoice
because of our redemption…found in Him. When we are lacking joy, perhaps we are
missing the blessings because we are focusing on earthly things rather than
heavenly riches. *
When we find ourselves without joy, may we recall the words of Paul
in Philippians 4:9: “Whatever you have
learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me—put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you.” (With
that peace, comes joy in Him.)
