Have you had your Joy Juice today? One thing that is within
your control is whether or not you share the joy of the Lord with other people.
We like to be “in control”, don’t
we? We like to know that we can handle
the problems, the responsibilities, the tasks at hand. It’s when we realize that we have no control
over a situation that we sometimes begin to panic and experience anxiety.
Often we
find ourselves in circumstances that are completely beyond our control. That can be a desperate place..... However, the Christian knows that our Father
has promised us that we are never alone….HE will never leave us or forsake us.
We don’t have to fear ever being in a place without Him being by our side.
The
familiar passage in Philippians 4:6 that tells us to “Be anxious for nothing”
is easy to tell others about when they are going through difficult times; but
it’s hard when the shoe is on our own foot! Is it possible to “be anxious for nothing”?
We all have concerns and challenges. That’s life! Paul’s advice is to turn our worries into
prayers. If we want to worry less, we should pray more!
True peace
is not found in positive thinking, in the absence of conflict, or in good
feelings. It comes from knowing that God is in control.
Let
God’s peace guard your heart against anxiety.
