Have you
had your Joy Juice today? Abide in
Christ by basking in His love and generously sharing His joy.
The word
“abide” is used often in the scriptures to encourage us to “live with” Christ
continually. By dwelling in His presence every day, every minute, we are
walking with Him through life.
In a nutshell, abiding
in Christ means allowing His Word to fill our minds, direct our wills, and
transform our affections. In other words, our relationship to Christ is
intimately connected to what we do with our lives! As Christ’s Word dwells in
us and the Spirit fills us, we will begin to pray in a way consistent with the
will of God…. (This excerpt is taken from In Christ Alone
by Sinclair Ferguson.)
1 John 2:24 says: “As for you, let that abide in you which you
heard from the beginning. If what you heard from the beginning abides in you,
you also will abide in the Son and in the Father.”
·
You can become more fruitful.
·
You can enjoy Jesus more.
·
And you can become more like Jesus.
All of that “abiding” means that we can experience
the sweetness, power, and joy of our connection to him in greater degrees, as we
grow in ongoing daily dependence on him.
