Have you had your Joy Juice
today? When we are experiencing a time
of sorrow, we may find it difficult to see joy.
In the book of Psalms we find
valuable truth as we search the verses for jewels of wisdom. Today, let’s look at verses 3 & 4 of
Psalm 26. It tells us how to find joy & peace, even in times of suffering
and sadness.
“You keep him in perfect peace whose
mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you. Trust in the Lord forever, for
the Lord God is an everlasting Rock.” (Psalm 26:3-4)
God can use difficult times in our
lives to refocus us…..to cause our love for some things to fade and our love
for Him to grow. God cares for us with a “faithful love”! There are times when He
allows certain things into our lives to open our eyes and our hearts to truth.
We may find that we’ve been putting our hopes and dreams into things that are
shallow and temporary. But when we rest in our trustworthy God…He will do as
the Psalmist wrote and give us perfect peace…”IF OUR MINDS ARE STAYED ON HIM!”
We can trust in the Lord…..FOREVER!
Why? Because He is our “everlasting
Rock”…. the Foundation of Grace
by which we can place our faith in the completed work of Jesus Christ.
Standing on “The Rock” in times of sorrow and
difficulty can give us peace and sustaining joy.
