Radiate with God's Joy...at Work or Play!

            Have you had your Joy Juice today?  Drink it in….even if no one is looking!

            One reason we work is to earn resources to supply our necessities of life. But do you receive satisfaction in doing a job well?  Everything we do should be to serve God and we should give Him our best!  

            Do we work just as hard whether the boss is watching or not? A dedicated employee is diligent and consistent with making certain that he/she gets the job done. Ephesians 6:7 says: “Serve wholeheartedly, as if you were serving the Lord, not people.”  If that’s our motto, then we will be loyal employees. 

            What if the shoe is on the other foot and you happen to be a “boss”…a manager, a lead teacher or principal, head of a department, etc. …Do the same requirements go for those in leadership!? THAT WOULD BE A RESOUNDING “YES”!!!!  The best bosses I’ve ever had were those who thought no task was too menial for them.  They treated their employees with respect and fairness. They were willing to work just as hard as they expected their co-workers…maybe even harder. 

            Our workplace (or wherever we serve) is an opportunity to witness….and sometimes we don’t even have to use words.  May the joy of the Lord radiate from us as we pursue our calling.   

            Let’s strive to bring glory to God as we fulfill His joyful purpose for us. Give Him your best!
