Have you
had your Joy Juice today? Easter is the
perfect time to give the gift of joy!
As we talk
about the joy of Easter this week, let’s refer to some of the Bible passages
that speak of joy.
·
In Luke 15:10, we are reminded that there is great
joy in heaven whenever a sinner repents.
·
We are told that the Lord rewards our good
efforts and there is joy in hearing Him say: “Well done, good and faithful
servant.” (Matthew 25:23)
·
A supreme source of joy is the underlying
theme of 1 John 4:19, “We love because he first loved us.”
·
And one of my favorites in John 15:11, Jesus
said: “I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and that your joy
may be complete.”
He gives us joy in so many ways. And we can bring joy to
Him! Writer Warren Mueller puts it this
way: “What a wonderful God we have who honors sinners like us by giving us the
ability to give him pleasure! He rejoices and experiences joy as we respond to
him in repentance, love and good (fruit) that brings him glory!”
This Easter
as we prepare our hearts, may we give an Easter gift of joy to the One Whom
Easter is all about! Let’s celebrate Jesus’
resurrection with passion, gratitude and…of course…much joy.
Is your joy-gift
ready to present to Jesus this Easter?
