Have you
had your Joy Juice today? Be bold and
tell others about the genuine joy that comes with a personal relationship with
Jesus.
We all are
sinners; we all make wrong choices; we all battle with a guilty conscience at
one time or another. We can try to appease our guilt by blaming someone else,
by comparing ourselves to others who make worse choices, and by even creating a
different image of God that excuses sinful choices. But the best way to confront guilt is to get
right with God!
To quote
Rob Renfroe: “Do you want an easy conscience or a clean conscience? Do you want
your sins to be quieted or your sins to be forgiven? Do you wish for your guilty feelings to be
relieved or for your guilt before God and within yourself to be removed? When we are serious about our relationship
with God and want to “get right” with Him, we can take these steps:
1.
Be honest about what you have done. Take responsibility
for your actions.
2.
Confess your sin to God. 1 John 1:9 says, “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and
just and will forgive us our sins.”
3.
Proclaim Jesus Christ as your Savoir and Lord.
Let’s release our guilt by trusting in God’s grace, not our
goodness; in his mercy, not our merit; in the sacrifice Christ made for us as
He wants His joy to be in us.
