you!
This week
I’ve shared with you my escapades with Ruby Red-bird….the beautiful, kamikaze
cardinal who has decided she likes the sanctuary of our home. She continually
reminds us of her presence because of the countless thumps and bumps as she
soars head-first into our windows. But
aside from that, her lovely melodies and the grace with which she flies all
around our yard, have been welcome reminders of God’s awesome creation.
Luke 12:6-7
reminds us: “What is the price of five sparrows? A couple of pennies? Yet God does
not forget a single one of them. And the very hairs on your head are all
numbered. So don't be afraid; you are more valuable to him than a whole flock
of sparrows.”
My little visitor, Ruby Redbird, is God's creation
and is valuable to Him. As a part of His creation, you and I are loved by God,
too! In fact we are His chosen vessels to complete His will on earth.
There is much truth in this little poem:
Said the robin to the
sparrow, “I would really like to know
why those anxious
human beings rush around and worry so."
Said the sparrow to
the robin, “Friend, I think that it must be
that they have no
Heavenly Father such as cares for you and me."
Let’s never forget that, indeed, we DO have a Heavenly Father that
joyfully cares for us every minute of every day.
