Have you had your Joy Juice
today? Climb the tree of life and harvest
the fruit of joy.
Proverbs 11:30 says: “The
fruit of the righteous is a tree of life, and he who is wise wins souls.”
According to an article by David
Reagan:
“The tree of life is
mentioned ten times in the Bible.
- Three times in Genesis
- Four times in Proverbs
- Three times in Revelation
The tree is
mentioned three times in the Garden of Eden, but it is lost because of the fall
of man. However, it is mentioned three times in the New Jerusalem as restored
to its rightful place in the midst of paradise. Total times the tree is mentioned in
the Old Testament—SEVEN—a number revealing God’s perfect work. It is mentioned
three times in the New Testament—a number revealing God’s perfect being.”
Let’s
focus today on the verse in Proverbs that we just read: ”The fruit of the righteous is a
tree of life, and he who is wise wins souls.” There is much wisdom in that little
verse, but if we get no other truth, may it be to allow the fruit of righteousness
to flourish in our “tree of life” and may our passion be to win souls for
Christ.
May your tree of life flourish with an
abundant crop of joy.
