Jesus in John 4:14, speaking of living water:
“But whosoever drinketh of the water
that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him
shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.”
We all realize how important pure
drinking water is to our bodies. About
two thirds of the human body consists of water.
That’s why we need to drink so often…if not we will get dehydrated and
sick.
In
the previous verse, Jesus was talking with a woman of Samaria. She was
talking about drinking water….HE was speaking of spiritual “living” water.
“In those days--and still today in
the Middle East--fresh water is a precious resource. Everyone needs it to
survive. Jesus says that the water he gives is different. It's living water
