Have you had your Joy Juice
today? Try a serving of joy in the Lord
and be comforted.
"In the multitude of my thoughts
within me thy comforts delight my soul." Psalm
94:19
Many times
we find ourselves with a “multitude of thoughts”. We worry about what may be…or
what may never be. We fret about our
children; we stress over situations at work; we replay in our mind how people
have wronged us. Our multitude of thoughts can bring a heap of anxiety and
grief. What should we do to avoid those times of out-of-control, panic-inducing
thoughts? Let’s look at the verse in
Psalm 94:19 again:
"In the multitude of my thoughts within me thy comforts delight my soul."
Whose comforts? GOD’s comforts. Do you believe the Word of God? Then you can believe that His comfort is
always available!
The word “comfort” is defined by
Webster like this: “to give strength and
hope” or “to ease the grief or trouble of”.
We can choose to depend on people to give us comfort…but often we will
be disappointed, because people will not always be there for us. OR we can choose to allow God’s “comforts to delight our soul” as
the scripture says. That’s a sure thing; a constant; a truth that we can always
depend upon, because God never leaves us.
Give your multitude of anxious thoughts to God and experience the
joy of His comfort.
