Have you
had your Joy Juice today? It’s always
fresh, like a newborn baby awakening to his brand new world.
God’s Word
has a freshness about it, don’t you agree?
Though it has stood the test of time, the truth found in scripture is
new and appropriate for all time. When we begin to detect a “staleness” or
“lack of appetite” when it comes to reading God’s Word, maybe we should examine
our spiritual life and see what is causing this dry patch.
The word
“fresh” implies being full or renewed in vigor.
Are you “full of joy” in relationship with Jesus or are you distracted
by other things? God is always ready and willing to supply an outpouring of His
Spirit to those who are prepared with a tender heart toward Him. Are we continually ready to receive His
blessings by having on open heart and living a committed life in Him? Like a newborn baby, let’s approach each new
day with interest and trust and dependence on our Father.
Mark
10:15-16 is a beautiful passage that reminds us of the importance of child-like
faith:
“ ‘Truly I tell you, anyone who will not receive the
kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it.’ 16 And he took the children in his arms, placed his
hands on them and blessed them.”Awaken to the joy God has planned for you; receive it eagerly, like a little child.
