Have
you had your Joy Juice today? When our
lives are cluttered with too much activity, we may miss the gifts of joy that
God has prepared.
Do you
find it difficult to carve time out of your busy day to simply “BE STILL”
before God? One of the best ways we can
de-clutter our minds is by spending time with Him. That may mean adjusting our
schedules. Just a few minutes during the
day can truly make a difference! When we
begin to make this a habit, we may find that we want more…..more time alone
with God. Time away from people, from
the tv, from our social media distractions!
Whatever time works best for you is when you should have your “quiet
time” with God. You may find that early morning works best; it may be a lunch
break or right before bedtime. Make it a
priority! And just DO IT!
Chuck
Swindoll, pastor, writer, speaker….preacher of the Word…confesses that even
though he is in full time ministry, he still finds setting aside time to be
alone and silent before the Lord is one of his toughest priorities. It doesn’t come easy for most of us. We must make it our “determined purpose” as
Philippians 3:10 says.
When
our minds are cluttered with things of this world and we don’t make room for God,
our spiritual life will suffer. Let’s do
some “Spring cleaning” and allow the peace of God to sweep away the unimportant
“stuff”.
Clean
your spiritual house and shine with joy!
