Have
you had your Joy Juice today? Joy in the
Lord makes us spiritually whole.
The
Oxford Dictionary defines “integrity” as “the quality of being honest and
having strong moral principles.” If we read further, the 2nd
definition of integrity gives us even deeper insight: “the state of being whole
and undivided.” I like this definition because I believe that’s what God
intends in the life of a Christian.
1 Chronicles 29:17 tells us:
“I know, my God, that you test the heart and are pleased with
integrity.”
According
to David Jeremiah, “to have integrity is
to feel ‘whole’ and complete, to have all parts of your life integrated; to
have them intact, interconnected, uncorrupted, and operating as a single unit. A person of integrity has it so deeply woven
into his character that it’s integrated into his innermost being as a
consistent standard from which all his actions flow. Such a person amazes us.
Such a person is who we want to be.”
Don’t you desire to be that
person of integrity? Be a person of your
word. Don’t stretch the truth to make it
fit your situation. Stand strong for
what you believe and do not waver. In
other words, if you are a Christian, you should “walk the Walk” that Jesus
modeled before us.
Choose integrity and always reflect the
joy of Jesus!
(Much of this
information came from David Jeremiah’s book A Life Beyond Amazing)
