Have
you had your Joy Juice today? Promote
peace everywhere you go…and you’ll be amazed at how much joy you may find!
Proverbs 12:20 tells us: “Deceit is in the hearts of those who
plot evil, but those who promote peace have joy.”
The
truth is this scripture is powerful. As
we examine it in the light of our own actions and words, do we find true
joy? Do our words build up and edify? Or do they “plot evil” as the verse states?
- We may find ourselves in the middle of uncomfortable circumstances and our gut reaction is to lash out with unkind words. PROMOTE PEACE says the Word of God.
- Our family member may have made a really selfish, foolish choice which affects all those who love him or her. PROMOTE PEACE says the Word of God.
- Our work situation may be less than peaceful; there could be decisions made which are unpopular and truly are not conducive to success. PROMOTE PEACE says the Word of God.
One wise pastor says, “Quiet
tension is not peace. It’s just
compressed anxiety. Too often we think
we’re trusting when we’re really only controlling our panic. True peace is not only a calm exterior, but
also a quiet heart.”
Let’s pray for a quiet heart….one which
promotes peace and reaps joy.
