Have you had your JOY JUICE today? It takes determination to
achieve a goal. Will you set a goal to
share the joy of Jesus?
Goal
setting is extremely important if you want to accomplish something. Successful athletes set goals; good students have
goals; excellent cooks don’t start out that way! They have a goal in mind and they practice
and are determined to do whatever it takes to reach the goal! EACH of us should
have goals: short term, long term and life goals. One of the saddest things to me is to see
someone without any goals…they have nothing to live for or work toward.
However, John
Maxwell warns us about simply setting goals.
That’s just the beginning. He
says:
“Don’t ever be impressed with goal setting; be impressed with goal getting. Reaching new goals and moving to a higher level of performance always requires change, and change feels awkward. But take comfort in the knowledge that if a change doesn't feel uncomfortable, then it's probably not really a change.”
Pray about your goals. When God lays something on your heart, pursue
it with determination and lots of prayer.
When you reach that goal, I can promise you will experience fulfillment
and joy….IF it’s a God-given goal.
One
of my goals is to share a double portion of the JOY of the Lord with others!
What goal has God given you?
