Have you had your JOY JUICE today? There’s no better way to celebrate LABOR DAY
than with a nice serving of JOY JUICE!
Whether you
are “laboring” on this Labor Day or taking the day to rest & catch up on
things around home, stop long enough to reflect on what this holiday is
about. Do you know why we celebrate
Labor Day? It has been a national
holiday in the United States
and Canada
since 1894. The day is set aside to pay
tribute to working men and women.
Labor Day
is always the first Monday of each September. That creates a three-day weekend…the
last major holiday before the onset of Autumn.
Many people see it as the last “fling” of summer! So I hope you enJOY
your day!
Though
sometimes we grumble and complain about having to work, it truly is a blessing
to have a job and be physically able to work! Do you know that God thinks work
is a “good” thing? The word “WORK” is mentioned approximately 793
times in the Bible! Yep, it must be important.
Here are just a few of the verses that indicate the importance of work:
- Colossians 3:23 “Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men.”
- Ephesians 4:28 “Let the thief no longer steal, but rather let him labor, doing honest work with his own hands, so that he may have something to share with anyone in need.”
- Ecclesiastes 9:10 “Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might,”
Let's work with JOY and thankfulness
for our many blessings.
