Have you
had your Joy Juice today? God is with
you….in the joyful times and the times of conflict.
Deuteronomy
20:4 gives a big dose of encouragement: “For the Lord your God is going with you! He
will fight for you against your enemies, and he will give you victory!”
Just like the Israelites, we sometimes face
overwhelming opposition. Whether it’s at
school, at work or even at home, we can feel outnumbered and helpless. God bolstered the Israelites’ confidence by
reminding them that he was always with them and that he had already saved them
from the potential danger. We too can feel secure when we consider that God is
able to overcome even the most difficult odds. (Life Application Study Bible)
Susie
Larson expounds on this in her book, The
Uncommon Woman. She writes: “The
Bible says that in the last days, the love of many will grow cold. If we are to
live as Christ did—we will need to forgive the unforgivable. When the messes of life wound us and knock us
down, we will need the courage to get back up again. Even though our pain will at times seems more
real than God’s presence, we must trust Him.”
DO WE TRUST
HIM? Do we trust Him to take care of
that enemy in our lives and the hurt he/she causes? Even if
the person continually pulls the scab off our wounds? Even when someone hurts our
children or a loved one? Do we trust God
to help us forgive the unforgivable?
Be
reminded of the joyful Truth… “He will fight for you against your
enemies, and he will give you victory!”
