Have you
had your Joy Juice today? Celebrate “joy”
as your personal friend.
We have
people in our life who we dearly love…friends that are closer than some family
members. Faithful, loyal friends are a
treasure and are among God’s most valuable gifts of joy.
There are
those people we know as casual friends,
acquaintances that we come into contact with frequently. And, then, we have to admit that there are
those people who consider themselves our “enemies” for one reason or
another. The Bible tells us in Matthew
5:44 to: “… love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you…” That’s very difficult when we are hurt by
their words and actions. (People can be
cruel to one another.)
Susie
Larson writes: “Though hard times come and people are cruel, we don’t have to
live tormented by our fears, nor do we have to be forever impaired by our past
defeats. The more we understand who and whose we are, the more we’ll truly
believe that God will restore every lost thing. We’ll comprehend which battles
are ours for the taking and when it’s good just to hide in the shadow of His
wing and rest awhile. Jesus loves us so
much and always has a watchful eye on us.”
Those words
are a comfort and a promise. The
“battles” we face each day are not ours alone! We can choose to hide under that
shelter of God’s wings.
Be
filled with joy as you acknowledge that God has His watchful eye on you.
