"Teach Us to Number Our Days..."

            Have you had your Joy Juice today?  Though our days are numbered, our joy is unlimited!

Psalm 90:12 tells says: “Teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom.”   Because our days are numbered, we should want to make each day count.  We should strive to be effective and productive.  Do you desire to see God’s eternal plan revealed to you? Does what you do reflect Him in all ways? 

Life on earth is short…eternity is FOREVER!  Some call this life a dress rehearsal for what’s to come. That should encourage us to take each day as it comes and ask God to help us follow His plan…step by step.  We want to “practice well” so that we will be ready to spend eternity with Christ.

On our birthday each year, perhaps we could make it a habit of thanking God for the previous year and for what He was able to accomplish through us. Then, as we pray about the year to come, let’s ask Him for more opportunities to share the joy found in relationship with Him. 

Listen to that verse again: “Teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom.”  What should we gain? A HEART OF WISDOM! That is one of the best “joy-gifts” we could ever receive!

 Be willing to be used EVERY day to serve God’s special kind of love and joy.
