Have you
had your Joy Juice today? No matter how
old or young we are, the joy of the Lord is appropriate.
It’s been said that birthdays are good for our
health. Studies have shown that people
who have more birthdays, live longer. All kidding aside, we shouldn’t dread
birthdays…but thank God for the time He has granted us on earth to make a
difference for Him.
Psalm
71:17-18 is a beautiful prayer: “O God, from my youth you have taught me,
and I still proclaim your wondrous deeds. So even to old age and gray hairs, O
God, do not forsake me, until I proclaim your might to another generation, your
power to all those to come.”
Is this our prayer? Our heart’s desire? To
proclaim God’s goodness and faithfulness and power and love to those over whom
we have influence? If we don’t share with our family, our friends and
acquaintances, then how will they know the evidence of God that we have
personally experienced through the years?
Whether we are 10 or 110, God can use us! We must make ourselves
available to be His instrument.
Sometimes we can be His mouthpiece; other times we can be His hands and
feet. During times of sadness and
sorrow, we can be His arms of comfort. And we can ALWAYS pray!
As the
verse we read says, even when we are old and gray, God will not forsake us; and
He will continue to use us on earth until we are ushered into the joy of
heaven.
Share
the joy of the Lord…regardless of your age!
