Have you
had your Joy Juice today? You’re never
too young to begin drinking it faithfully.
One of my
most favorite roles in life is that of “Gigi”….I’m blessed to be “grandma” to
six little “joys”….ranging from 11 to 6 years of age. They were babies for such
a short period of time. It’s almost as
if we blink and infancy is past! We tend to forget the “specialness” of those
first few days of life outside the womb. Christians should be like newborn
babies in a variety of ways.
A baby is
totally dependent on someone else. In
ideal situations, it’s someone who loves and cares for him or her greatly! Babies don’t have to think about where the
next meal is coming from or where they’re going to sleep or what to wear. They simply rest in the strength and love of their
parents.
Love
radiates from the proud mom and dad. And there is a special kind of bond
between their hearts. A little one soon recognizes the voice and face of that
special loved one.
1 Chronicles 16:11 says: “Look to the LORD and his strength; seek his
face always.”
Our lesson here is that we, like
newborn babies, should depend on God---always.
We can look to Him for guidance, for strength, for provision and
protection. When we seek His face, we’ll always find Him gazing down in
love---which should fill us with JOY.
May we rest in the cradle of God’s
arms and be totally dependent on Him for your personal servings of joy.
