Have you
had your Joy Juice today? JOYFUL
THANKSGIVING DAY!
Many of us
are planning to be with family or friends for our Thanksgiving
celebration. Odds are there will be lots
of food, fun and fellowship in homes throughout our country. But let’s not forget that there are those who
have no family with whom to share a meal...and some truly will have little or
no food…much less a feast that many of us take for granted. Today may be just another day for some who
have to work; others may dread the holidays because they have lost a loved one
and can’t bear to face the days alone.
In other
words, while “joy” and laughter may come easily & be plentiful for many of
us today, there are other people who need our prayers for strength, comfort and
provision. As we thank God for our many blessings on this Thanksgiving 2017,
let’s remember to stand in the gap for others who are not in a good place
today.
1 Timothy
2:1 is a good verse to read on this Thanksgiving Day…reminding us to pray:
“I
urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and
thanksgiving be made for all people—“
“ALL people”, the scripture says. Those whom we love, those we have a hard time
getting along with, those we don’t even know!
We are to pray for ALL people.
What a joyous privilege it should be to know that when we take our
petitions, prayers, intercessions and thanksgiving before the Lord….HE HEARS!
Have a blessed Thanksgiving! And let’s
remember to pray for ALL people!
