Have you had your Joy Juice today! There is always a fresh serving for each of
us.
Are you
eating leftovers today? We are at my
house! Family and friends gathered yesterday in homes throughout our country
and feasted on traditional (and maybe some non-traditional) meals in
celebration of Thanksgiving Day. And as
quickly as it came…it’s over. Hopefully,
memories were made and time together was enjoyed.
As we pull
out the leftovers and make sandwiches or soup or stew from what’s left of the turkey
or ham….let’s remind ourselves that God’s servings of grace, mercy and joy are fresh
& new every morning. We don’t have
to rely on “leftovers”. Some of the ‘jewels
of joy’ that I’ve found in scripture relating to His “freshness” can be found
throughout the Word of God:
·
Isaiah 43:19: “Behold, I am doing a new thing;
now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the
wilderness and rivers in the desert.”
·
2 Corinthians 5:17: “Therefore, if anyone is in
Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things
have become new.”
·
And of course, Lamentations 3:22-23: “Because
of the LORD’S great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail.
They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.”
God is in the Fresh Foods
business. Accept your pure, fresh,
joy-filled blessings as you partake of the Bread of Life!
