Family Joy

                Sure hope you had a joyfully blessed 4^th of July celebrating with friends and family! Speaking of families…Isn’t it interesting to see how families can be so different?! Some are loud and boisterous, while others are more reserved and quiet.  Some plan outdoor activities; and others prefer to stay inside. Though each of our families is different, we have similarities, too.

                 Ideally, a family should be a group who loves one another unconditionally.  Are we always going to agree with one another?  Absolutely not!  But we should agree to disagree.  God made each of us and placed us in OUR family.  

                In Jeremiah 1:5 we are reminded: "Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you. Before you were born, I set you apart for my holy purpose.”  God does NOT make mistakes.  He has put us where we are for a reason.  Before we were born, He set us apart for HIS holy purpose. I believe that He often uses our family to help us discover that purpose.  

                Thank God for your family members today.  When one begins to get on your nerves, take your focus off of them and put your eyes and thoughts on the Creator.   Hold on to the truth that YOU were designed for a purpose…maybe God is using that family member to prepare you in some way.  

Focus on God’s love…and experience a new kind of family JOY!!
