to celebrate with a patriotic flavor of joy!
As
Independence Day approaches, it’s a good time to prepare our hearts to
celebrate! Psalm 33:12 says: “Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord.”
Even
though there are many things about our country that are not as they should be,
we can choose to focus on the good things and try to be a part of the answer to
making things better. Instead of
complaining, let’s start praying more…for our leaders, for Godly wisdom and for
ways that we can serve. Let’s ask God to touch our hearts with a higher sense
of patriotism. May we be reminded of the many freedoms we enjoy and be
determined to do what we can to keep a government “of the people, by the people
and for the people” truly alive in our country.
Let’s
praise the Lord for allowing us to be a part of the grand ole USA! We should be
thanking Him for those who gave their lives and those who fought for our many
freedoms. Let’s never take for granted
our joyful blessings…such as being able to worship Him in the church of our
choice.
