Do We Believe in God's Promises?

Have you had your Joy Juice today?  Trust in the Lord as you drink in His continual joy.

This world tosses anxiety at us around every turn. But we have a choice as to whether we will worry or trust.  Dr. James MacDonald says that “trust is like a muscle—as you exercise it, it gets stronger.” He goes on to explain:  “Trust is walking forward moment by moment, having rolled your burden onto God. You've no doubt said, ‘I gave it to God once, but here it is again in my grip.’ When you sense that you've taken it back again, get back on your knees, give the burden back to God, get on your feet again, and continue to trust.”

I guess it all boils down to whether or not we believe God’s promises. In 2 Peter 1:4 we are reminded that:

"…he has granted to us his precious and very great promises, so that through them you may become partakers of the divine nature… (having escaped from the corruption that is in the world.)"

Did you hear that?  PRECIOUS AND VERY GREAT PROMISES!  Where can we find those promises?  In the Word of God…the Bible! That’s why it’s so important that we read and study often!  We need to search for the promises that apply to our personal situations and pray those scriptures as our individual promises. What a powerful weapon against the enemy!

May we trust in His promises and allow our heart to be anchored in His joy.
