weekend.
We all look
forward to the weekend, don’t we? For
many of us, it’s time to make plans with family, for fun or relaxation. Many times our plans include “catching up on
chores” or tackling a project that we’ve not had time to work on during the
busy week. All of us make plans….whether
they are spontaneous or well-organized.
But are we so caught up in our own plans that we forget that
God has a MASTER plan for our lives?
What is His Master Plan? We each have a specific purpose, but God’s
Master plan is based on the fundamental concepts of:
In
Matthew 22:37-39 Jesus taught: " 'Love the Lord your God with all your
heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest
commandment. And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.”
To love God supremely should be our hearts’
desire! When loving God is our main
goal, we will be on a continual pursuit
of HIS PLAN and HIS PURPOSE for our life.
And with that comes faith and the acceptance of His grace in our daily
walk.
Albert Schweitzer once said, “The only really happy people are those who
have learned how to serve.” To put that in the spiritual perspective: When
we love God and live according to his plan, our heart and life will be
overflowing with JOY in the Lord as we seek to serve others!!!
