A Joyful Legacy

Have you had your Joy Juice today?  Be a good steward of your portion of joy by sharing it with others!

This week we’ve been discussing five essentials to leaving a Godly legacy…filled to overflowing with joy. Here’s the next on our list:

·         Help your mate be a better steward of his gifts and abilities.
Often we don’t see our own strengths….only our weaknesses. What a gift to have someone who loves us, to speak into our lives and encourage us by pointing out the gifts, talents, skills and abilities which God has given to us.  A spouse should WANT to do that!

But what if you’re not married?  Well, look around you and find someone who has earned your trust….Someone who loves you and who will be honest with you. Go to them and ask if they would pray about being your accountability partner.  Make sure it’s someone who is strong in the Christian faith and committed to growing in the Lord along with you. Encourage one another as the scripture says.

Dennis & Barbara Rainey remind us that: “The local church always needs committed laymen and women who have strong, godly character and a vision for their communities.”  Are you plugged in and using the gifts God has given you?  Do you have a church you call “home”?

Thomas Carlyle says, "Conviction is worthless until it can convert itself into daily conduct."

Be a good steward of the gifts and talents God has given you….. and leave the wealth of a Godly legacy of joy.
