Have
you had your Joy Juice today? It pleases God when you drink in His joy.
Is one of your desires to please God? If you are a believer, then that should be at
the top of your priority list. Our faith should be consistent and we must be
committed in our spiritual growth process to seeking Him on a deeper and more
personal level. Hebrews 11:6 tells
us: “And
without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to
God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.”
According to the Life Application Study Bible footnotes, “Believing that God exists is only the
beginning; even the demons believe that much. (James 1:19-20) God desires more
than a mere acknowledgment of his existence. He wants a personal, dynamic
relationship with you that will transform your life. Those who seek God will
find that they are rewarded with his intimate presence.”
At
times we acknowledge God’s existence, but we fail to live as if we think He is really
there—seeing our sinful actions, watching us go to ungodly places, even knowing
our hateful, vengeful thoughts. We tend
to seek Him when we need something…but are we simply seeking an answer to our
problem, rather than seeking a deeper relationship with God?
Though
we know we will never achieve perfection, we can strive to draw nearer to God
each day as we seek to know Him more.
“Without faith it is impossible to please God.” Seek Him and receive genuine joy.
