Have you
had your Joy Juice today? Encourage your
heart with the truth found in scripture and you will be joyfully ready to
encourage others.
Numerous times we are instructed in the Bible
to encourage.
“Therefore
encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing.”
Ephesians 4:29 NIV
“Do
not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful
for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who
listen.”
Hebrews 10:24-25 ESV
“And
let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not
neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one
another…”
As Christians we are to take
our responsibility to encourage seriously.
In David Jeremiah’s book The
Joy of Encouragement, he gives four reasons why we need to encourage
others:
1.
It is the urgent need of our day.
2.
It is the unique priority of God.
3.
It is the underlying purpose of our Bible.
4.
It is the uncommon opportunity to begin a never-ending
process.
Let’s begin the “encouragement process” today and
discover a special kind of joy! When you encourage others, you will also find
encouragement yourself! That’s a promise!
Find at
least one someone to share the joy of Jesus with today by encouraging them in
the Lord.
