Teach Joy; Model Joy; Live Joy

            Have you had your Joy Juice today? Do you share with your children continually and consistently?

            We’ve talked about essentials for leaving a legacy of faith in God and joy in the Lord.  Those previously discussed:

•  Fear the Lord and obey Him.

•  Recognize the world's needs and respond with compassion and action.

•  Pray

•  Help your loved one be a better steward of his gifts and abilities. And be accountable for your own gifts, as well.

The last one that we’ll talk about this week is this:

• Ask God to give your children a sense of purpose, direction, and mission. 

Dennis Rainey says: “The challenge here is to leave your children a heritage, not just an inheritance. Be reminded that ‘Our children are messengers we send to a time we will not see.’"

             What will your children or the young people whose lives you are influencing take with them into the future?  Hopefully, they will take a strong faith, modeled consistently by you.  May they take Biblical wisdom and compassionate hearts everywhere their paths lead.  And we certainly want their lives and those they touch to be filled with the abundant joy found in relationship with the Lord.

           Teach joy; model joy; live joy…..and rest assured that you are leaving the best possible legacy.
