today? In God’s timing, His Joy Juice
tastes the sweetest!
There
are many laws of the universe; thousands of laws which govern our country. There are written laws and unwritten laws…but
the greatest laws are God’s laws that He has put into place to protect us. Sometimes we see things as rejection or
defeat but it may be God’s way of protecting us from things that are not His
best plan.
One
of the “unwritten laws” of God that I find most hard to accept is that "His
timing is perfect". Often I want to rush
His plan by “helping” to speed things along.
And you know what happens….I make a mess of things! Do you ever want to ask God why He places a
desire in your heart only to delay, delay, delay its fulfillment?
Again
I quote one of my new favorite authors, Susie Larson. She says:
“We
are free to run ahead, to manipulate opportunities, and to make things happen
on a more efficient timeline if we wish to go that route. But God’s process dwarfs ours every day of
the week. It takes maturity and humility
to first awaken to God’s desire and then to humbly await His timing. But this wise and perfect training process
strengthens and prepares us to last long and finish strong.”
Psalm 27:13-14 fills us with hope and joy: “I remain confident of this: I will see the goodness of the
LORD in the land of the living. Wait for the LORD; be strong and take heart and
wait for the LORD.”
When we wait we will see His goodness and
joy! YES! That’s the reason for His
“law” of perfect timing.
