Be Equipped & Ready to Attack the Day with Joy

Have you had your JOY JUICE today?  As you are dressing for the day, I hope that God’s armor is a part of your wardrobe.  

            When you get that Belt of Truth fastened, it’s time to see what pieces of armor we need to put on next. Ephesians 6:14-15 says: “Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace.”

           Did you hear what the next pieces of armor should be?  The “Breastplate of Righteousness” is mentioned next in that passage.  A breastplate covers the chest…your heart! A soldier with his breastplate on goes boldly into battle full of confidence. Righteousness allows us to be in RIGHT STANDING with God. We need this breastplate of righteousness to protect us from the certain attacks of the enemy.

            Next come the shoes of peace! When we receive Christ, we are united with the Prince of Peace. The shoes of peace become protection against the disruptive, evil schemes of the devil.  As peacemakers, we bring people together by promoting forgiveness and reconciliation.  

            When we are equipped with the protection of the armor of God an amazing thing happens!  Because our heart is overflowing with truth, righteousness, and peace…we begin to experience an abundant joy that comes from knowing Him.

Buckle that belt, tighten your breastplate, tie yours shoes and joyfully attack this day with truth, righteousness, peace and joy.
