Have you had your JOY JUICE
today? I’ve discovered that children
really love it! And they so easily share
it with others.
Papa Pat and I had the privilege of
keeping 4 of our grandjoys for a few days recently. As we played and thoroughly enjoyed them, it
became very clear that though we are many years older than they are, they can
teach us soooo much!
One of the lessons that it seems
the Lord has already written upon their tender
hearts can be found in Psalm 118:24. “This is the day the Lord has
made! Let us REJOICE and be glad in it!” What a blessing to be greeted in the early
mornings with their joyful exuberance! The smiles on their faces and the
sparkle in their eyes indicate that the new day presents a myriad of
opportunities and exciting possibilities!
Think about the youngsters you are blessed to
have in your life! Don’t they challenge
you to look forward to what the day will bring— instead of dreading it? Maybe it’s that children have not learned how
to focus on the negatives. If only we
would strive to be more like them! What’s sobering is that they will learn from
our example too, and that example is not always positive.
Today, let’s challenge each other
to sing that Psalm of joy continually until it becomes a part of our thinking,
our actions and our example to others: “This
IS the day the Lord has made! Let us REJOICE and be glad in it!”
I’m anticipating wonderful, JOYful
opportunities to share the JOY JUICE of Jesus with others! How ‘bout you?
