Have
you had your Joy Juice today? True joy
in relationship with Jesus is not an illusion! It’s the real thing!
A few
weeks ago, we had two of our “grandjoys” visiting for a few days. On Sunday
when we went to church, our 4-year-old granddaughter was mesmerized by the
beautiful young lady who sang a solo that morning. About half-way through the song, our
granddaughter looked up at me and whispered: “Gigi, is she real?” What she
meant by her innocent question was…”This is so beautiful….can she be real?!”
Sometimes
we may think a personal relationship with Christ is too good to be true. Does GOD really have time for each of
us? Did Jesus REALLY die to pay the
penalty for our sins? YES! That is Truth.
But there are things that are counterfeit; we must remember that our enemy,
Satan, is a master of lies. How can we discern between what is real and what is
illusion?
It goes
back to that personal relationship with Christ….staying steeped in His Word and
remembering to “be still” so that we can hear His voice—whispering words of
wisdom and discernment into our heart.
We are not all-knowing; we can be tricked and deceived. BUT GOD is
all-knowing and if we will listen to Him and obey, He will direct our steps.
Proverbs
3:6 tells us: “In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy
paths.” There is the beautiful truth: Acknowledge
Him and follow His leading.
It’s
no illusion…the Path to Joy is right in front of you.
Always good, always real!
