Have
you had your Joy Juice today? It’s not
only a good thing, it’s God’s best!
“Don’t
settle for anything less than God’s best.”
We’ve heard that said…maybe we’ve even advised others with these
words….yet sometimes we find ourselves settling into a “ho-hum” existence. Let
me tell something! This is not what God
wants…He desires for us to have an abundant life. John 10:10 makes it clear: Jesus said, "The thief comes only to
steal and kill and destroy; I came that they may have life, and have it
abundantly.” (NASB)
According
to that truth, our enemy is at work to steal our joy, to kill our desire for
God’s best, to destroy our God-given goals. But he does not have authority or
power to do that to God’s children. Jesus came to earth for you and me; he died
to set us free from the bondage of sin and paid the price with his very
life. Though we can never totally
understand that kind of selfless love, we can claim the abundance that it
brings.
To
quote Charles Stanley, “God does not desire that any person live a so-so,
average life. He desires for every
person to live an excellent life—morally excellent, spiritually excellent,
relationally excellent. It isn’t a matter
of how much money or material goods a person has—but the degree of love, joy
and peace a person has.” True abundance
comes in our relationship with Jesus Christ.
Discern God’s best by putting Him ahead of the rest!
