Have you had you Joy Juice today? Discern what is best by seeking joy in the
Lord.
Are you
living each day to the fullest? To determine that, let’s ask ourselves
questions like:
- Am I spending time with God and growing in knowledge and relationship with Him?
- Do I pray for ways to serve Him and when those opportunities arise, do I joyfully pursue them?
- Am I focused more on genuine joy in Jesus or am I blinded by temporary pleasures and selfish desires?
Sometimes
it’s hard to see ourselves and our circumstances with truth and clarity. That’s
why it’s so important to ask God for discernment. Charles Stanley explains it
like this:
“Discernment is the
ability to judge a situation accurately—to see the full reality of a situation,
relationship, experience or circumstance. It is the capacity to understand
accurately and clearly what is, to see the truth of things as they are from
God’s viewpoint. Discernment for the believer is seeing and understanding as
God sees and understands. It is the ability to make godly judgments and right
appraisals.”
Did you
hear that word “judgements”? We know we
are not supposed to judge people. The
Bible tells us that! BUT we are to know the difference between right and wrong;
to judge behavior as being good or bad.
Recently it seems that those “lines” have been blurred. In order not to be
misled or confused by today’s relaxed standards, let’s make certain that we use
God’s Word as our standard.
Live
each day….fully and with joy….by discerning God’s best plan for your life.
