Have you had your Joy Juice
today? Joy and laughter are gifts from
the Heavenly Father. It is up to us to
accept them.
A few days
ago I was researching the Bible for verses on laughter. It’s amazing how many references I found! We often don’t think of laughter as a
gift….but that is exactly what it is. And just like any gift, it has to be
received, unwrapped and put to use before its value is realized.
Let’s open
the gift by looking at a few of the beautiful reminders in scripture:
·
Psalm 126:2: “Then our mouth was filled with
laughter, and our tongue with shouts of joy; then they said among the nations,
“The Lord has done great things for them.”
· Proverbs 17:22: “A
joyful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones.”
Ecclesiastes 3:4: “A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;”
“Healthy laughter is a
wonderful gift from God. He grants us the ability to laugh out loud at
ourselves in the safety of family and friends. His graciousness is demonstrated
through us by the peace and presence of the Holy Spirit. Next time you laugh
out loud, send up a silent “thank you” to our Father in heaven for this
blessing.”
Thank God for His blessings of laughter and joy.
