Have you
had your Joy Juice today? This is the
week of Thanksgiving…..a wonderful time to filled with the Joy Juice of Jesus!
We all have
much for which to be thankful, don’t we?
If we would take the time to write down our blessings, the list would be
endless. We could begin by naming
blessings such as:
·
Family
·
Friends
·
Home
·
Job
·
Good health
·
A wonderful church family
·
and I would have to put grandchildren near the
top of my “joy list”!
What’s on your list?
It is
important to realize that even though we face daily challenges and struggles, we
can choose to look past the problems and see God’s blessings of joy tucked in
among the trials. We are often quick to
complain and tell people our troubles, but do we just as easily express our gratitude
for our many blessings?
Psalm 100 is a psalm of thanksgiving. The Psalmist tells us to “Shout
with joy to the Lord.” I will
have to confess that many times I don’t even whisper my gratitude….much less
shout. Let’s focus on the goodness of God in our lives, how He is with us
through the tough times, as well as the good, and how He is our provider and
protector. When our hearts are full of gratitude, we’ll feel like “shouting
with joy”.
This
Thanksgiving, let’s be intentional about expressing our thanks to our Father in
Heaven Who is The Giver of all good things.
Thank Him for His faithfulness, His provision, His favor. A grateful heart is a JOYful heart. So give
the Lord a joyful shout!
Get ready for a joyfully
blessed Thanksgiving.
