Encourage with Joy

Have you had your Joy Juice today?  Please joyfully encourage others!

Some people are “pros” at encouraging others; they have the “gift” of exhortation given to them by God. All of us are not born with the “natural inclination” toward being an encourager…but that doesn’t mean we can’t become one!

Let’s look into the Word of God to find some examples of “encouragers”.

Joseph learned the need for encouragement. He was not a natural encourager…and didn’t become one until God disciplined him into becoming one. We see examples of his encouragement in Genesis 49 when he not only forgave his brothers, but he encouraged them. Joseph ended up being an encouragement to the whole people of Israel. You see, we can’t use the excuse that “we weren’t born with a personality” to encourage people.  The Bible instructs us to be encouragers.  If we love God, we will be obedient!

Sometimes God might call us to be an encouragement to someone by helping them fulfill God’s purpose in their life.  Remember Aaron and Hur in Exodus 17?  They held up Moses’ arms during battle. This story reminds us that sometimes GOD calls us to lift others up… to help them accomplish a specific service for which God has called them.

Who does God want you to “lift up” today?  Be willing and available to be used by God to share His encouragement and JOY with others!

I encourage you to be an encourager by sharing God’s encouragement and JOY!
