Have you
had your Joy Juice today? Drinking it
faithfully helps us to see our blessings more clearly.
As we begin this week of Thanksgiving, we should be focused of our many blessings! The season reminds us of so many joy-gifts that God has sent our way. But let’s remember that EVERY DAY, God enjoys blessing His children. For years I didn’t think too much about the real meaning of the word “blessing”. To me, a blessing was that short canned prayer that we said before each meal. A habit—words recited without much thought…just ritual and routine.
Often our
prayer life can get stale. We throw up a
“God is great, God is good; let us thank Him for our food” and may never stop
to think about how blessed we truly are!
Let’s challenge one another to become more sensitive to the many
“blessings” that are ours. To name a
few:
- Family
- Good health
- Our home
- Special friends
- A job
- And most importantly, a God who loves us so much that He sent His Son to die for us.
My prayer for each of you today is the scripture found in
the book of Numbers 6:24-25 NLT:
”May the LORD bless you and protect you. May the LORD smile on you and be gracious to you.”
”May the LORD bless you and protect you. May the LORD smile on you and be gracious to you.”
The joy of Jesus is a blessing, so let’s not take it for
granted. Share the JOY of the Lord with
others and be available to be a blessing in someone’s life today!
