Have you
had your Joy Juice today? Drinking in
the joy of the Lord is never a negative experience! That’s a guarantee!
There are
some people who seem to see everything from the negative perspective. Have you been around those kinds of
folks? Why does it seem that their
approach to life is always pessimistic…when many others see possibilities and
joyful opportunities? Could it be a learned behavior? Is it the company they choose?
Maybe it’s a series of events that have wounded and hurt them…and, therefore, caused
a hopelessness that leads to negativity!
Mark Twain
wrote: “We should be careful to get out of an experience only the wisdom that
is in it—and stop there; lest we be like the cat that sits down on a hot
stove-lid. She will never sit down on a hot stove-lid again—and that is well;
but also she will never sit down on a cold one either.”
Our challenging
experiences should teach us to take precautions and to prepare for the days
ahead. But never should we allow them to
steal our joy and give us a negative outlook.
That’s exactly what the enemy is on mission to do! Remember the verse in
John 10:10? “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy.” But here’s
the JOY: JESUS came “that we may have life and have it more abundantly”.
Don’t
let Satan steal your joy through negativity! Choose JOY in JESUS!
