Have you had your Joy Juice
today? When you drink a healthy portion of the joy of
Jesus, you’ll find that you are filled with renewed strength!
Listen
to the words in 1 John 3:1: “How great is the love the Father has
lavished on us, that we should be called children of God.” When a person accepts Jesus into his/her heart
and life, they can be assured that they are His children….and He desires to
lavish His love on them!
That
doesn’t mean that everything is going to be perfect in our lives. We will have
tough times. But through those
challenges, we can feel His love being poured out onto us, into us and, if
we’re willing, through us! Sometimes
it’s in the peace He gives in the midst of the storm; other times He gives
specific answers to our prayers! But no
matter what, we can always know that His love is constant and that He is
near.
When we
observe people after a natural disaster, like a tornado or a flood…..we ALWAYS
see good that comes from the difficult times. People are kind & generous to
come to the aid of others---sharing what they have with those who are in need; giving
a helping hand in the clean-up process…and most importantly, many people commit
to praying more fervently and faithfully. Because of God’s great love we can experience the
truth of scripture that tells us in Psalm 91 that “He who dwells in the shelter
of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.”
As
God lavishes His love on us, may we experience the joy of being in His shelter
and His shadow!
