Pure Joy and God's Faithfulness

Have you had your Joy Juice today?  Simply take the time to enjoy it as you savor its flavor this morning.

Are you enjoying this journey called life?  Or are you so loaded down with burdens and responsibilities that you feel as if you are smothering?  Some of us may be suffering from heartbreak because of losing a loved one; others may be in the middle of a difficult divorce or uncertain family issues. We may be worried about a doctor’s diagnosis or fretting about financial problems.

The fact is we all have challenges and we are not always going to enJOY the situation we are in.  But if we have a strong faith in God, we CAN still have the JOY of the Lord, regardless of our circumstances.
We often quote James 1:2:  “COUNT IT ALL JOY”. Those four words are easy to say, easy to remember…but often, difficult to live out.  Let’s read on in that passage… “Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance.  Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.”

The joy comes in trusting God to see us through those difficult times knowing that on the other side of them, we will be more like Him!

When those tough situations arise, remember this truth and “consider it pure joy” because our God IS faithful!
