How (Joyfully) Great Thou Art!

Have you had your JOY JUICE today?  Hope you are filled to overflowing!

I am! Yes, I’m bubbling with joy due to the outrageously wonderful women’s conference that I attended this past weekend.  Some of you were there; and you, too, experienced the contagious spirit of joy in the Lord.

No matter where we go or what events we choose to attend, one important thing to remember is that we can praise and worship God ANYWHERE!  He is a great and loving God.

Recall these beautiful lyrics: “O Lord my God, When I in awesome wonder, Consider all the worlds Thy Hands have made...”

This magnificent hymn was written in the early 1900’s by a Swedish pastor named Carl Boberg. He had gone for a walk when a thunderstorm with fierce winds suddenly appeared. After the storm had passed, he looked out over the clear bay.  He heard a church bell in the distance…and the words to “How Great Thou Art” began to form in his heart:

“Then sings my soul, My Saviour God, to Thee,
How great Thou art, How great Thou art.”

May these words ring true in our hearts when we’re faced with unexpected storms! Let’s remember that God is there and He is always a GREAT GOD!

Whether in the midst of a storm or when all is calm, let’s sing unto the Lord “HOW GREAT THOU ART!”
