Have you
had your Joy Juice today? A serving of
joy in the Lord is a treasured gift among friends!
One of the
richest blessings in life is true friendship. I’m sure all of us can think of
those extra special friends who have been with us through thick and thin. As
Proverbs 18:24 puts it:
“A man that hath friends must shew
himself friendly: and there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother.”
Do we always
show ourselves friendly? Even when we’ve
had a bad day, that’s no excuse to be unfriendly! Remember the Golden Rule? Treat people the
way you want to be treated!
Have you noticed how God often
brings people into our lives at just the right time? They may be there to teach us, encourage us,
help us through times of trouble. Or they may need us to do that for them! It could be a happy time of celebration… or a
sad time of heartbreak. Friends have to
remind each other that…with God’s help…we can
go on!
If you are the kind of friend that “sticketh
closer than a brother”, then, when your time of need arises, your friends will
come along side of you and help you through the dark days.
Take a minute to think of those
special friends God has placed in your life.
Which ones are Christian role models?
Make a special effort to spend more time with them and learn from their
example. Their joyful spirit may be so
contagious that YOU will soon be stirring up your own flavor of JOY JUICE to
share with others.
