Sing with Joy in Celebration of the Birth of Christ!

Have you had your Joy Juice today?  Did you know that we can sip and sing at the same time?

If we will allow the true JOY of Christmas to permeate our life, we’ll have a song in our heart, just like the angels of long ago who proclaimed the birth of the Christ-child. Listen to the words of one of our classic Christmas carols:

Angels we have heard on high,
Sweetly singing o'er the plains
And the mountains in reply
Echoing their joyous strains.

Chorus:
Gloria, In Excelsius Deo  (Glory to God in the Highest!)

Shepherd, why this jubilee?
Why your joyous strains prolong?
What the gladsome tidings be
Which inspire your heavenly song?

Come to Bethlehem and see
Him whose birth the angels sing.
Come, adore on bended knee,
Christ the Lord, the newborn king.

What a lovely tribute to Jesus, our Lord…overflowing with JOY.  And that’s exactly how we should feel as this Christmas season approaches.  If we’re not careful, we can concentrate on the gift buying, parties and family get-togethers and miss out on genuine Christmas JOY which is found in celebrating the birth of our King.

Let’s lift our hearts and voices in joyful song as we focus on the real meaning of Christmas…the birth of Jesus Christ.
